FX Supervisor at Milk VFX, London

My name is Andrés Gómez Tollar.

Born and raised in Santander, Spain. It wasn't until I started my degree in Industrial Design (2003) that I first put my hands to learning CGI. It was Autocad (that's right, Autocad) the software that opened my eyes to this beautiful universe.

In 2005 I decided to move to Madrid to follow up with my studies. From this point on, I started shifting gradually my career from engineering into VFX. Over the next five years 3DS MAX was my weapon of choise. After finishing my degree and master degree in "Technical Engineering in Industrial Design", I focused fully into developing my skills as a VFX artist. I switched to Maya, studied animation, modelling with Zbrush, and compositing with Nuke.

In 2013 I decided to specialized in FX and I focused exclusively in Houdini, erasing completely Maya or any other 3D software from my pipeline unless my job specifically required it.

This same year I co-founded with two other artists FunnyFrames Animation, a small studio where we focused mainly in TV advertising.

Early in 2016, I decided to join MPC Film and move to London.
